“As a young woman just starting out in a business world of all men forty years ago, I could have used forty women mentors!  Their insight and advice is right on.  A must read for women of any age who are beginning to find themselves.”

“As the CEO/Founder of Otter Publishing New York, I must say, the content in this book is one of the best I have come across. For those who are stumbling through the forest, trying desperately to obtain success, this book will help to clear the path. Not only is it educational, it is also inspiring and elevating. I want to personally thank each author for succumbing to a place of vulnerability so many may find their own way.”

“Not only does this book inspire those in the work force, I know it will inspire women who left the professional world to raise their children. I am one of those moms, and I love the ideas and experiences of these forty women. I have two daughters making decisions about their future, and this book is going to help me teach them. Furthermore, I guarantee, when they follow and learn from those who have “been there and done that”, it will save them much wasted time. I whole-heartedly believe this book should be in the parenting section of the bookstore.:

“I have known Holly Porter for years, and I have listened readily to her when she made suggestions about walls I was facing. She has helped me scale those walls. We all face life’s challenges at different times in our lives. Insight from others who have experienced similar situations will give you strength to scale your own walls, as Holly has helped me do.”

Introduction by Holly

“I’d rather regret the things I’ve done,
than regret the things I haven’t done.”
– Lucille Ball

“If only I knew then what I know now!”  Famous last words…said about every female on the planet at one time or another! Most of us wish for things we do not have, advice we should’ve listened to, and at times a “do over” to a particular situation. “Shoulda”, “coulda, and “woulda” are just words we use when we are making excuses for things not measuring up in our lives the way we had hoped they would.

“If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.”
– Dolly Parton

According to Entrepreneur magazine in 2017, women own 10.6 million businesses in the United States. They employ 19.1 million workers—that’s one in every seven employees. Their businesses account for $2.5 trillion in sales. These numbers of success are awesome statistics; however, deep down we all have the same challenges and struggles at all different levels. Even the smartest and most successful women fall apart, fail, and feel inadequate at times. It’s okay to be vulnerable, raw, and real. We are all Human—red blood flows through all of our veins. You will read all about this, and more, in the upcoming pages.

“You can waste your lives drawing lines. Or, you can live your life crossing them.”
– Shonda Rhimes

The chances we don’t take are sometimes the ones we find ourselves wishing would re-appear. In over thirty years of my business experience working mostly with women, I’ve come to know how often lack of confidence gets the best of us. Do you struggle from this as well? If so, read on. I know you will find answers to life’s questions that oftentimes come up. How many situations have you been in where you feel like you failed miserably and wished for a different outcome? Wouldn’t it be awesome to have a crystal ball and see your future? Do you know you can manifest anything?

We don’t have to be our own worst enemy. How about being a friend to ourselves for a change? What if we supported “us” like someone we love? What would that look like? It is hard to start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one! Inside, you will find forty women who support you with their wisdom. You see, I have been there with this self-doubt and sabotaging my “life stuff” too—right along with many, if not all, of the co-authors in this book.  We have experienced the frustration and lack of confidence too. We get it, and we feel your pain! We have walked in your shoes, felt alone at times, and struggled mentally, physically, and spiritually. Luckily, you have all of this wisdom to draw from the co-authors’ servant hearts. Let us hold your hand, while they share their wisdom and stories in the pages to follow. We are wives, mothers, friends, healers, teachers, coaches, entrepreneurs, speakers, and ROCKSTARS on what we have to share with you on your life journey. Our insights will help you to minimize your “shouldas”, “couldas”, and “wouldas.” Through this book, you can now know what we wished we knew back when.

“You can never leave footprints that last,
if you are always walking on tiptoe.”
– Leymah Gbowee

Take a stand for you! Listen to your inner voice and heart. It is special. It’s always there. You may just have the volume down too low. This book is for you, yes you!

Be inspired to BE ENOUGH.
